Welcome Habitat for Humanity’s Newest Silt Partner Family:
Crystal Peters is the sole parent of 6 year old Chloe. She has recently become the Colorado River District’s newest Firefighter. Her goal is to show her daughter dreams are achievable. After volunteering for the Fire Department for 4 years, and meeting the organization's maximum allowable volunteer hours she was hired as a part-time firefighter. Crystal is ecstatic for her new full-time benefited position and is already striving to achieve her next goal, studying to become a Paramedic.
Living most of her life in the Colorado River Valley, community involvement has been a way of life for this positive mom, she is also the President of New Castle’s Kathyrn Senor Elementary School Team KSE (PTAC). The positive outlooks she has about life has helped her overcome many challenges, including a traumatic brain injury when she was younger. The struggles she has faced in life gave her the courage, faith and strength to never except no or failure. She has always found a way to get back up, keep going and smile.
No stranger to hard work, Crystals can do attitude will help her while building a home for her family- for the first time in Chole’s life they will not be living with family, but excitedly making a home of their own- thanks to Habitat for Humanity.
