Welcome Habitat for Humanity’s Newest Silt Partner Family:
Jenny & Israel Valdez and their children children: Sarah 7, Isaac 6, and Steven 1.
The Valdez family relocated to the Roaring Fork Valley from Naples, Florida four years ago. Israel’s position as the Minister for the United Latin American Pentecostal Church brought them to the valley, but his second job as a painter is what pays the bills. Jenny worked for four years as a receptionist for the Roaring Fork School District. Now, she will be staying home to focus on Steven, who needs speech and occupational therapies. In the future, Jenny looks forward to finding another position with the school district that supports her role as mother of three and pastor’s wife.
The Valdez family is excited to become Habitat homeowners in the community they love and already call home- Silt! This home will help them achieve the dreams they have for their children; providing an affordable and consistent home, which lays the groundwork for a college education.
